1. Data We Do Not Collect (Privacy-First Architecture)

- No Cloud Storage: We do not store your skincare routine, pantry photos, or notes on our servers. Your data resides on your device or your personal iCloud.
- No Data Selling: We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties.
2. Apple HealthKit Data (Cycle Sync)
SkinGuard: Cosmetic Scanner & Acne-Safe integrates with Apple HealthKit to provide skincare recommendations based on your hormonal cycle:
- Collection: We request read-only access to your menstrual cycle data.
- Processing: This data is processed exclusively on your device to calculate your current cycle phase.
- Usage: We use this data solely to suggest relevant ingredients (e.g., "Avoid Oil").
- Restrictions: We DO NOT use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data mining purposes. We do not upload this data to any external server.
3. Location Data (Weather Tracking)
SkinGuard: Cosmetic Scanner & Acne-Safe requests access to your device's location to provide environmental skincare advice:
- Purpose: We use your approximate location to fetch real-time weather data (such as UV Index, Humidity, and Temperature).
- Personalization: This data allows us to recommend specific adjustments to your routine (e.g., "High UV today - Don't forget SPF" or "Low humidity - Add a hydrating serum").
- Privacy: Your precise location is never stored on our servers and is used only to request environmental data from trusted weather providers. We do not track your movement or share location data with third parties.
4. Information We Collect & Use
A. Camera and Images
We access your camera and photo library solely to scan product barcodes and perform OCR analysis. Image analysis is performed locally using Apple's Vision Framework. Images are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly save them to your iCloud-synced Pantry.
B. Usage Data (Anonymous)
We may use trusted third-party services (e.g., RevenueCat, Firebase) to collect anonymous data to improve the app. This includes purchase history for subscription validation and crash reports for bug fixes. This data does not contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or health data.
5. Payments
SkinGuard: Cosmetic Scanner & Acne-Safe operates on a paid model. All financial transactions are handled directly by Apple via the App Store. We do not process or store your credit card information.
6. Children's Privacy
SkinGuard: Cosmetic Scanner & Acne-Safe is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
